Starting Points for meeting up, for directions and/or to arrange car sharing to the beginning of the walk ...

  
Stork Café Car Park (in Thornes Park):
Take the A636 (Denby Dale Road out of Wakefield, past JTC600, go straight across the next roundabout, then turn right (before the railway bridge) signposted Horbury, follow the road for a couple of hundred metres, you will see the Stork gates of the park on the right, turn right here.





​Holmfield House Car Park (in Thornes Park, near the band stand):
Take the A636 (Denby Dale Road) out of Wakefield, past JTC600 at the next roundabout turn right into the car park serving Thornes Park. 






Carr Gate:
Go out of Wakefield on A650 (Bradford). Follow signs for Carr Gate Garden Centre. Meet on the road outside the Centre.
