Having said that, Anne's best boots used at Coniston suffered a similar fate ... so the replacement flask sock was put to good use very soon after splitting the pair. I wonder how long the current stripy flask sock will last? - Caroline Linda's walk from Worsborough country park on 22nd February was braved by four of us. It was quite eventful as Nita's boot sole was coming away shortly into the walk. It never entered her head to turn back - the trusty flask sock and a spare shoelace were used as a fix. Later in the walk our eagle eyed leader, Linda, spotted a strong, sturdy elastic band on the pavement and saved it for later. A very good plan as Nita's other sole started to come away near the end of the walk! So we all survived the mud and saw our first lambs of the year.

Not knowing we would end up at the Beautiful Coppermine village made even nice by the Sunshine.
