Twenty three walking ladies plus one below(the photographer)! 24 ladies set off in liquid sunshine from Stork's carpark. But only 19 returned!!! Well nearly as there was a massive gap towards the last few miles of the walk and the five at the back (that had stopped for a wee) (Including myself as the back marker)were left behind. Thanks to the use of google maps, they got back on track and after calling just about everyone else in the front group on their phones, eventually caught up with the group. Whistles were carried by the five at the back and could have been used if they weren't too busy chatting and if there had been an injury, but can't believe we lost the group so close to home! An earlier wee had resulted in hilarity for a few of us and a young male jogger, who had spotted one of our ladies about to "go" on his way past the group, but then on reaching the group and a narrow path did a complete U-turn, jogging past "Miss Niagara Falls" shouting "I'm not looking". In a police line-up he'll know that derrière.
The walk itself was lovely with a little rain that made it a COCO day. (Coats On, Coats Off). Thank you Carol, - Chris Linda told us she was doing the walk the opposite way round to the last time she led it - were we expected to remember the route? Some beautiful young calves. Lunch hidden among the undergrowth for some. A reward of ice cream at the end. Lovely walk Linda, thank you.
