"Hurrah! The first Thursday walk out of lock down and I'm sure Lise will not mind me for thanking her for leading 7 of us on her walk on a very wet day.
Lise led us under very sad circumstances from Skelmanthorpe along the Oxley Trail. Considering it is on my doorstep I can't believe the number of new paths and tracks we explored from Skelmanthorpe through Scissett, up through Deffer Wood and into Denby Dale before returning to our cars, a total of 7 miles. Because the track was familiar to some members there were differences of opinion on important matters as to where we should pause for coffee and where we should sit for lunch but Lise held firm and used her authority.
Sadly the wet weather prevented many photos but we all have memories of a very good day. Thank you Lise."
