25 ladies enjoyed a leisurely walk around the Notton and Woolley countryside, most then popped into Notton Village Hall to enjoy some festive cheer. ![]() Click to see the Entertainment at the end of the Mince Pie Walk Thank you Jennifer, Mrs C and Bronners for the hilarity today. Lovely to see everyone. Thank you! Merry Christmas all! Dx ![]() Once again leader needs to look at how she describes the walk, As starting at Carr Gate it took in Kirkhamgate, Wrenthorpe, Alverthorpe, Gawthorpe, West Ardsley and East Ardsley. Leader also needs to look at mileage a bit better, but felt she was covered with the 10ish miles !!!!! Could have cut off a corner to make it closer to 10, but as everyone seemed happy completed the route in mind. Still back at the cars for 2pm, with a fairly leisurely pace. Lunch was in a lovely glade in some woods and sun shone down on us. A slight Swifty bonus as turned right a bit too soon, but this was soon rectified!! - Chris
We enjoyed beautiful blue skies and fantastic scenery on Thursday. The "few" stiles were many and varied, challenging long and short legged individuals and anyone carrying a daypack.
We sat under a warmish winter sun at lunchtime and gazed at beautiful clear 180 degree views. A lovely day in good company, thanks Caroline. - Lise |
