Hello to everyone who knows me!

I've done the Webmaster's role for almost four years and this evening I'm handing over to Lise, so this is the last blog I'll be posting and it feels like the end of an era to me!

In case you've missed me, I haven't been able to walk with the Group for just over two years because I have an Achilles problem which is clearly not going to go away.  I'm seeing the Consultant again on 21/7 for a final session prior to surgery but I already know post-op recovery is around 6 months (big gulp) - so it's coffee at mine then!

I've really enjoyed getting to know you and I've enjoyed working on the website too.  I've met some wonderful characters, some real personalities and some inspirational walkers in the group.  I've seen some fabulous views, ploughed my way through some very muddy fields, and listened to some side-splittingly funny tales.  It's been such a pleasure, so thank you!

It's just become harder lately to publish the blog and not be able to join you out walking - so I'm handing over now, before I get too envious of the fun and laughter you're all evidently enjoying in the many sunny photos I've processed!

I'm not letting my membership lapse.  I hope that in due course I might be able to come out walking with you again.  Until then - please stay in touch and let me know if you're in Notton so I can get the kettle on!

I'm not posting my personal email address on here but if you don't already have it, the Secretary can let you have it if you contact her through walkingwoman@btinternet.com.

All the very best
Darrel x

Thank you Darryl for all the information, pictures, updates etc. Now if the wheel barrow strategy from Ollie is going to work then bags I have the other handle otherwise we will be going round in circles and I am the sensible one!! Keep your chin up and fingers-crossed with the op. All the best Stan

Thank you Darryl for all your hard work, can completely understand why it's someone else's turn to do the web pages. Hope op goes well, but will see all your travels on Facebook, so never too far away x
