Some photos from Chris's Armistice day wall around Glossop avoiding the Black Stuff, walking the dark peat lands of Bleaklow. There were some stunning views. There was a long climb up to a wreckage site where they placed a cross from WWWN. All 13 crew members lost their lives when a Canadian plane came down on 3rd November 1948 during bad weather. Chris says it was a bit wet on the way up but it turned out nice by the time they got to the top. The evidence! They made it to the Trig.

This walk was STRENUOUS and the leader had to reccy it 4 times so obscure were the trails! Such dedication but it was SO worth it. The atmosphere up there on that crash site was eery to say the least. But that Armistice Day walk is one that will stay with me forever.
