Chris led a 12 mile walk around Holmfirth today. She dutifully (and very promptly) sent this brilliant walk report in to me, together with two photos.
Beautifully lead walk around Holmfirth, with just a few hills. (She's definitely modest, is our Chris!) Five ladies and two dogs decided to join me. Had lunch in Hagg Wood. Walk said 12 miles but Diane's thingy said 10.5 so all felt a bit cheated but not enough to walk a bit more. Two new potential ladies; Patricia on her second free walk and her friend Angela (don't think we put them off !!)
In trying to keep up with Jane W's "anthrax" biscuits, flapjack was provided but only at a certain point. In a mutiny Patricia headbutted a dry stone wall just so we could all have one/two sooner !!!
Our first responder was there with tissues, wipes and plasters to hand (for Angela - as she doesn't like blood !!). It was pointed out when I got home that I should have sent Patricia home with a "bumped head" letter !!
