"Pauline’s Sunday walk started in ‘Poppy bedecked’ Ripon which was a sight to behold and stirred the emotions as many public spaces were adorned with hundreds of knitted poppies and information about the local lads lost in the Great War. It was a mainly sunny, autumnal day just perfect for walking to the Studley Royal parkland to visit the deer who should have been enjoying themselves strutting and rutting! However they were obviously not in the mood as everything was quiet so we ate our picnic and walked back to Ripon for some more poppies. Thank you Pauline for leading."
