"A select few ladies joined me for a 7 miler from Slaithwaite up to Wholestone Moor this Sunday. We set off in misty drizzly conditions ploughing through a fair amount of mud but once on the tops we had glorious views and sunshine for our lunch stop. Wending our way back down through hamlets such as Quebec and Bolster Moor with old weavers cottages aplenty before a trot back to ‘Slawit’ along the canal, past old mills to the car. Thank you for coming ladies, but what we all wanted to know was where was Alison?"
