Thur 12th Aug - Batley Border Lands

14/8/2021

Thank you to Pat Cartwright for leading a walk through Batley Borderlands 12th August. There were 16 ladies in all and we enjoyed a fabulous walk in the sunshine. We were treated to some great sights . . . mosaic tiles depicting images on the side of Leeds road, the ruins of Howley Hall, numerous alpacas on route, juicy ripe blackberry’s (many of us promised to return with suitable containers!!) and deep purple heather.

We were even offered chairs by the church warden when we stopped for lunch! A great walk that had lots to offer.   - Linda Kilroy
