After that we followed the Ebor way. A route that I wasn't sure if I had done before until I recognised a "wee stop" and two lunch stops!!

Finally I could make a Thursday walk (School Easter Holiday's). On hearing that our leader had Covid, I offered to take over the leading rather than cancel the walk. 5 of us set off from Golden Acre Park in our coats, that soon got taken off as the day just got warmer and warmer. Following the book we walked along the Leeds Country Way for a bit, then in a different direction, then back on the Leeds Country way until we got to Emmerdale. Our new member Ann ( third walk today) was the only one who watched Emmerdale, so recognised a house of someone! After that we followed the Ebor way. A route that I wasn't sure if I had done before until I recognised a "wee stop" and two lunch stops!! Our lunch stop was with a lovely view of the valley and we were all quite close to having a siesta. The walk was finished with a lovely cup of tea/coffee/can of coke in the café. Ann was very pleased with the 9 miles - with no "ish" or any Swifty bonuses as this was the longest she had ever walked.
Hope you feel better soon Caroline. - Chris Comments are closed.
