Our walk took us from Anglers Country Park to the Waterton Park estate, where we learnt a little of the history of Charles Waterton, an early environmentalist.
We successfully wound our way through the estate, bypassing the golf course, enjoying a drinks break overlooking the lake, before enjoying the peace of the woods and tracks leading back to Anglers.
By the time we edged round the lake at Anglers, the sun was fighting back, so we arrived back at the Visitors' Centre ready to enjoy an ice cream. And the walk was a little less than programmed - bonus!! Diane C
