Heavy overnight rain did not deter the 20 intrepid walkers who enjoyed the blue sky and sunshine on our walk through Brockadale Woods and on to Wentbridge.
After lunch in the churchyard in we took up the challenge to make our return journey on the south bank of the river where the footpath came perilously close to the swollen waters. The great spirit of adventure ,willingness to help each other and plenty of laughter ensured that we all returned safe and dry and in good spirits.

A welcome drink at The Shoulder of Mutton gave a chance to admire the scrap metal sculpture which was built as a commemorative thank you to the organisers of the weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and veg boxes to the local community during the Covid19 lockdown.
