The first walk of the year brought out 26 ladies. Who chatted their way around a lovely route led by Carole from Angler's Country Park. Every time there was a short pause a bag of sweets or chocolates got passed around, most of the time more than one packet.
The route was pure luxury as it started with a proper toilet. Lunch was at Nostell Priory, where we were allowed to have our sarnies in the courtyard on chairs with tables and a proper toilet. And finished with a lovely cup of coffee in the café, next to the toilet.
There was of course the obligatory mud and Carole went a slightly different route due to flooding, but the weather was kind and not too much rain. - Chris S
