Judith's walk today - a predicted 8 miles through woods, fields, paths and styles. 8 miles? I pondered and considered it, and then after a bit of "friendly persuasion" from Pat C last week I decided to brave it and I'm so glad I did. The scenery through/round Temple Newsam) is always gorgeous but Judith had laid on great weather too, so it was extra gorgeous today. No rain, mild weather, little wind, and even some blue skies and sunshine towards the end - what's not to like? 7.45 miles, 17,363 steps and 858 calories burned - thank you Judith; it was a good day.
It was lovely to sit in Temple Newsam's coffee shop at the end of our walk and be joined by Denise who as always looked glamorous and definitely not like she'd just walked 7.45 miles!
