Thursday 23rd May - Yorkshire Sculpture Park

To put this into context you need to know that we flew home from holiday on a night flight at got home yesterday at 6:30 am - so I've been very confused about dates and times since we got back.  I dug Lesley's email out of my inbox and she threw me deeper into lala land with this gem "Ivy's walk in Bretton Park Thursday 23rd June."  Scared me to think I'd lost a whole month!  I had to consult the Walks Programme to work out she was referring to Ivy's walk in MAY!  Good trick Lesley!  Thank you for the report and photos.

"It was a lovely sunny day to be walking round this lovely country park.  20 ladies walked 6 miles exploring the park from end to end  taking in the new visitor centre and the Longside Gallery along the way.  This necessitated sampling coffees at every opportunity as well as experiencing the new exhibition at the Gallery. This day out provided culture alongside exercise and not a stile in sight!

We said a fond ‘hello’ to dearly loved Denise around her memorial tree and had a final coffee to round up an enjoyable day."

Crumbs! Are you SURE they've only got coffee or tea in their flasks?
I'm told "We like to include culture into our walk."

And last but by no means least ... A final coffee stop is essential
