Thursday 24th September - Kexbrough

28/9/2020

Lesley emailed this walk-talk to me with a bunch of photos ...

"10 of us set off today on Lesley's al fresco walk from Kexbrough. This walk took in Cawthorne,  High Hoyland,  Deffer Wood, Cannon Hall Park and which somehow took 6 hours for a total of 8.7 miles!
The weather was amazing after forecasts of frequent showers and it was frequently hot enough to disrobe.
Lesley introduced some interesting diversions to her walk which took us through farmyards and over wire fences! She made the excuse that she had only ever walked the route the opposite way round!
Lunch in the summer house and coffee in the Pavilion added a little sophistication to the day.
Thank you to all 9 ladies who never complained  (to my face) and with sadness realised it may have been my last walk with Janet before she moves South to start an exciting new life near her daughter. Thank you for your company Janet and lots of good wishes in your new home."
