Despite the cold forecast (4 degrees at 10:00 am) it was a busy turnout for Gillian and Geri's walk from Gawber today with 31 of us setting off in bright weather. It was a 5.5 mile walk from St Thomas's Community Centre, through tracks, fields and woodlands, with some lovely views. The going wasn't too wet either and we only hit a few muddy patches. My boots don't even need cleaning today!
There may be further walking photos to follow from other people, but just for now, below are a couple of the group as we came across a delightful herd of ponies.
At the end of the walk we were offered tea, coffee and cake back at the Community Centre. It would have been rude not to partake - see evidence below. Sometimes its good to be the photographer and not the photographed!

The eagle-eyed of you will have spotted that my gizzmo didn't record a full loop of the route today. That's not because I was lying above about where we went. It's because I forgot to switch my gizzmo on right at the beginning of the walk. Come back soon Jane, AKA Queen of the gizzzmo reminders!

| Ooh! I almost forgot! Anne M dug a receipt from her Rucksack today and asked me to share it with you all. It's from the walk she led around Notton on 10th January where £64.00 was raised from the sale of cakes. That's an awful lot of cakes folks! Well done! |  |
